🔷 Overview

This training strengthens leadership and improves collective performance. Through dynamic videos led by an expert in organizational and human factors, learn to communicate effectively, intelligently manage workload, and make informed decisions to work in a demanding professional environment.

🔷 Description

Pre-requisites:

  • Be a healthcare system professional

Duration:

  • 2 to 3 hours independently
  • 1 hour in a group (videoconference debriefing)

HAS certification criteria:

  • Criterion 3.1-01: Governance implements a policy of improving the quality and safety of care.
  • Criterion 3.1-02: The hospital supports a culture of quality and safety among its professionals.
  • Criterion 3.2-04: The hospital trains its professionals in risk management using healthcare simulation tools.

  • Dynamic video by Guillaume Tirtiaux, airline pilot and human factors expert.
  • Providing examples and concrete tools to modify one's practice: the TEM tool, the TFORDEC analysis.

PART 1: autonomous, asynchronous

  • ‍Introduction totraining
  • Pre-test (positioning test)
  • Module 1: develop self-awareness
    • Identify the mechanisms at work when an error is made.
    • Understanding brain function in processing a situation.
    • Develop good practices in terms of self-awareness for better performance.
  • Module 2: develop leadership and teamwork
    • Determine the impact of different leadership styles on team performance.
    • Acquire concrete tools for effective leadership: briefing, cognitive aids, debriefing.
    • Adopt the posture of effective followership.
  • Module 3: communicate effectively
    • Identify how messages are encoded and decoded.
    • Structuring a message.
    • Identify any interference that could affect message transmission.
  • Module 4: manage workload
    • Identify the 3 levers of task management.
    • Recognizing the importance of briefing in workload management.
    • Managing task interruptions for an acceptable workload.
  • Module 5: Develop situational awareness and decision-making skills
    • Recognize the cognitive biases that influence our decision-making.
    • Consider threats and errors in decision-making.
    • Discover decision-making through an analytical model.
  • ‍Post-test (measuring progress and validating skills) & Action plan
  • ‍Training assessment

PART 2: collective, videoconference debriefing

  • Training debriefing with a human factors expert
    • Identify discrepancies between professional practice and best practices to facilitate teamwork and performance.
    • Identify individual and team areas for improvement.
    • Establish an individual and collective action plan to strengthen teamwork.

In-house training session:
Price valid for one professional, group of 10 learners. Grants access to a course for a group of 10 learners + team debriefing at the end of the training. The individual price displayed will be adjusted according to the number of learners for a group larger or smaller than 10.

Individual license:
Annual subscription, grants access to the entire catalog to one person (individual access).
