Stepping back in the face of aggression helps maintain emotional calm and an objective perspective, promoting an appropriate response. This training offers a better understanding of the underlying factors related to patient aggression in order to facilitate the search for solutions and prevent new incidents.

Pre-requisites:
- Be a healthcare system professional
 
Duration:
- 1 hour independently
 - 1 hour in a group (videoconference debriefing)
 
HAS certification criteria:
- Criterion 3.2-04: The hospital trains its professionals in risk management using healthcare simulation tools.
 - Criterion 3.2-07: The governance has a safety policy for its professionals.

- Immersive video-simulation of the reception of a couple in a gynecological emergency. The husband is distressed and has increasing difficulty communicating with the nursing team.
 - Filmed interviews: synthesis and analysis of the situation.
 
 
- Summary of key points to remember
- Understand the 3 levels of aggression risk prevention in patients.
 - Develop a risk management approach regarding the management of anxiety, aggressiveness, and violence:
- Non-violent communication.
 - De-escalation strategies.
 - Team protection (premises ergonomics, etc.).
 
 
 
- Post-test (measuring progress and validating skills) & Action plan
 
- Training assessment
 
PART 2: collective, videoconference debriefing
- Video-simulation debriefing with a risk management expert
- Identify discrepancies between professional practice and best practices to improve aggression management.
 - Identify individual and team areas for improvement.
 - Establish an individual and collective action plan to strengthen teamwork.
