CPD actions at SafeTeam Academy

Our training courses aim to develop teamwork, reliability of practices and experience sharing

They are asynchronous, that is, they combine a video-simulation part in e-learning carried out individually and a debriefing part in videoconference. The debriefing can also be carried out face-to-face (optional, generally for professionals working or able to meet in the same structure).

These courses were designed to engage people who are short on time and demanding. Practice shows that the bet has paid off!

Each of our courses is linked to a priority orientation identified for the period 2023-2025. Do not hesitate to contact our training managers to discuss this with them, by phone at +33 1 89 73 01 00 or by email at dpc@safeteam.academy.

Upon completion of the training, we manage all administrative formalities with the ANDPC for the registration of your activity.

‍Testimony

Several entities and liberal professionals have already trusted SafeTeam Academy to conduct continuing professional development activities.

Discover the testimonials of Dr. Anne Sophie Balon, Anesthesiologist and Intensivist for 10 years, and Séverine Laroche Daval, nurse anesthetist since 2007, members of a clinic in eastern France.

The CPD (Continuing Professional Development) action implemented in their team - Improving as a team the quality and safety of perioperative care - includes several modules that could be completed over 4 weeks:

  • Surgical checklist and teamwork,
  • Improve the reliability of handovers and care in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
  • Transmission and medication errors in the medical/surgical department
  • Crisis management in a medicine/surgery department
  • Disclosure of a healthcare-associated injury

Anne-Sophie also explains that this last module was particularly appreciated.

This course was implemented to meet the training needs of the team. The e-learning format appealed to us because it allowed everyone to train on their own. It was a way to discover something else, to be able to train all team members at the same time, which is rarely the case (...). There was also an interest in team-building because everyone was doing this training, which helped to create bonds, and we talked about it during coffee breaks. Following this training, several concrete actions are under consideration to improve practices and patient safety."

Anne-Sophie, who is committed to patient safety, now aims to "advocate within the hospital for all paramedical staff to take the same training" because patient safety relies on a systemic approach that involves all stakeholders.

Séverine was also convinced by the training course, which she finds particularly beneficial for temporary staff, "who are poorly trained and too quickly in the field with patients to care for."

Thanks to the courses, Séverine has developed a real reflection on her way of working: checks, questions to the rest of the team... The training has also allowed her to refresh her knowledge on certain theoretical concepts.

"It's very interactive, you really feel like you're immersed in the operating room with the team."

Finally, we can conclude that participation in the course is a success because Anne-Sophie highly recommends our training courses: "The e-learning format is very interesting because it adapts well to the world of liberal professions. The fact that you don't have to travel remains a positive thing for us because there is no absence generated, and the team aspect was interesting."
